Nixon was nominated for chair, received a roll-call vote and then took the oath of office. Braden Marvel was nominated and confirmed by roll call and similarly took an oath to serve as vice chair. New member Dustin Bremer also took the oath of office earlier in the meeting.
The appointments were procedural and completed early in the meeting before regular business. The commission then moved on to review minutes, approve the agenda and open a scheduled public hearing on a zoning amendment.
The commission adjourned later in the evening after additional business, including zoning discussions and staff updates.
