The Downtown Development Authority reviewed a proposed preliminary budget for fiscal year 2026–2027 and voted to recommend the budget to city council.
Rebecca presented the packet and said updated revenue estimates improved the projection, allowing a placeholder of $30,000 for a revitalization program under beautification and revitalization. "You'll see a balanced budget there," Rebecca said, and noted the packet shows approximately $1,900 going back into the fund balance.
A board member moved to recommend the budget and a second was recorded; the board conducted a roll call and the recommendation passed. Board members discussed that the subcommittee and staff will continue refining the revenue estimates and program details before final city-council consideration.
Staff also noted a March 19 budget workshop open to the public and council members. Next steps call for staff to finalize figures and present the recommended budget to the city council for approval.
