Board President Becky Pence called the Keene Memorial Library Board to order at 6:36 p.m. March 16, 2026, in the Pinnacle Bank Board Room on the first floor of Keene Memorial Library in Fremont, Neb.
Board Member LeAnn Rathke moved to adopt the meeting agenda; Board Member Tina Barham seconded. The motion passed 3-0, with Barham, Rathke and Pence voting yes and two members absent.
The board then approved the Feb. 16, 2026, meeting minutes after a motion from Board Member Tina Barham, seconded by Board Member LeAnn Rathke; the vote was 3-0.
Library Director Laura England-Biggs delivered the Library Director’s Report and the board received the month-in-review and statistics materials. The board also received an update from the Friends of the Library and reviewed the Library Expenditures Reports for February 2025. No formal actions or votes were recorded on those reports.
City Administrator Jody Sanders and City Council Liaison Sally Ganem were listed as present, along with Director of Public Works Dan Gillis. Senior Office Associate Tracy Swanson recorded the minutes.
Board Member LeAnn Rathke moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m.; Board Member Tina Barham seconded. The motion passed 3-0.
The board scheduled its next regular meeting for April 20, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the Board Room on the first floor of Keene Memorial Library, 1030 N. Broad St., Fremont, Neb.
