The Denison City Council approved two change orders for the Crawford County Wellness Center on Oct. 21. Change Order 17 from Jensen Builders for $5,588.04 was approved, and Change Order 18 was approved in part — the council accepted $9,400 for paint stripes in the field house and declined a separate $10,820 proposal for additional venting and louvers for the elevator shaft.
The motions to approve the change orders were made by Council Members Zupp-Smith and Logan and carried unanimously. City staff noted a donor walkthrough of the Wellness Center was scheduled that evening.
Council actions leave the accepted changes authorized for construction; the rejected venting/louvers option will not be performed unless future council action reauthorizes it.
