During the discussion, Eygabroad told the council that Beck Engineering will handle street design while Denison Municipal Utilities will oversee utility engineering. He recommended adding stub streets to the project footprint; staff estimated the full project cost, including engineering and the stub additions, at approximately $1.7 million. "I recommend adding the stub streets with the cost including engineering, estimated at $1.7 million," Eygabroad said.
Council Member Curnyn moved to approve the Beck proposal; Council Member Logan seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The motion authorizes staff to proceed with detailed design and to schedule construction administration work as outlined in the Beck proposal.
Next steps: staff will coordinate final design with Denison Municipal Utilities, confirm the project scope for bidding, and return to council for appropriation or bond/financing decisions where required.
