Alton Moore identified himself and told the commission he has a prefabricated airplane hangar and is on day 63 of a permit delay, saying the delay left "$100,000 worth of airplane hangars sitting outside in the rain." He told the commission staff had told him his project was not a homestead and had advised him to hire an engineer even though his structure and foundation were engineered. Moore asked the commission to help move the permit process along amicably; a commissioner asked for his contact information and asked him to fill out a comment form to allow staff follow‑up.
Linda Ayre, a Lago Vista resident, asked the commission to examine the city's parking ordinance in advance of a hotel project scheduled for council consideration the next day. She said the hotel would be on a seven‑acre parcel largely self‑contained and that current parking calculations might not account for large meeting venues, weddings or events that generate peak demand. Ayre said council has the authority through a PDD to increase minimum parking requirements and urged them to consider that option.
Neither public comment resulted in immediate action, but both topics were recorded for staff or council follow‑up.
