Pendleton County approves budget revisions, confirms appointments and hires, and records routine allowances

Pendleton County Commissioners on Feb. 18, 2025 approved several administrative and budgetary items, confirmed settlements, and recorded fund disbursements as part of routine county business.
County Clerk Elise White presented budget revisions for E-911 and General County line items; the commission approved the revisions unanimously on a motion by Commissioner Roger Dahmer. The commission also confirmed settlements of accounts and ordered allowances payable from multiple funds: General County Fund checks 35548–35577 totaling $51,283.84; the 911 Fund checks 4395–4399 totaling $3,826.14; Home Confinement Fund checks 351–354 totaling $709.30; Clinton Hedrick Community Building Fund checks 1178–1179 totaling $100.43; and Pendleton County Community Building Fund check 1267 for $283.08.
On personnel matters, Commissioner Jimmie Bennett moved to appoint Kim Kline to fill an open position on the Board of Health; the motion passed unanimously. The commission also approved hiring Chrystal Winegard as a full-time employee in the County Clerk’s Office on a motion by Commissioner Dahmer. The commission entered executive session at 9:43 a.m. to discuss a personnel issue and returned at 9:50 a.m.; the minutes state no decisions were taken in executive session.
The commission recessed at 12:20 p.m. to continue budget work and reconvened at 1:30 p.m. for the Courthouse Annex bid opening.
