Supervisors approve transfer of Superior Court law-library surplus to courthouse repairs

Mindy Young told the board the benches removed in 2014 were not repurposed and the courthouse project used Arizona Department of Corrections inmate labor before COVID interrupted plans. The new benches were delivered June 16 and the total project cost was "26,000 and some change," she said; $20,000 had been budgeted previously for the project.
Young said county staff reviewed ARS 12-305(C) and determined a formal resolution was required to transfer amounts in excess of $3,000 from the law-library fund to a building fund. The board adopted the resolution by motion and second.
