Denison council swears in new mayor and council members; new police officer sworn in

Following the elected officials’ oaths, Soseman conducted the Police Officer Oath of Office for Cole Kinnersley, who was approved on the consent agenda as a Non‑Certified Police Officer. Kinnersley’s hire was listed with an hourly wage of $29.85 and an effective date of Jan. 5, 2026.
The actions were procedural and ceremonial; no additional votes were required beyond the consent approvals. The council proceeded to regular business after the oath ceremonies.
