After returning from executive session the Lago Vista City Council asked the City Attorney to proceed with a legal notice concerning the maintenance agreement for the Tessera community.
Mayor Pro Tem Norma Owen read the executive‑session outcomes and Councilor Prince moved that the City Attorney send a notice of non‑renewal to Hines related to the Tessera maintenance agreement. The motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
City Attorney Brad clarified that the letter will go out on the city’s letterhead after legal counsel completes its review and that the City Manager would then send it. Councilor Prince amended his motion — and confirmed on the record — that, after attorney review, the City Manager should issue the letter; that clarification was accepted and a second was recorded.
The vote was unanimous and the council noted that further related items would return to executive session and be addressed as needed.
The council did not provide specific text of the notice during the public meeting; staff said that the action is limited to directing counsel to send the notice and did not indicate immediate additional fiscal commitments.
What’s next: City Attorney’s office will finalize the letter for City Manager Charles West to send; staff indicated follow‑up steps and any additional actions would be reported back at a future meeting.
