Advisory members raise park maintenance and graffiti concerns as Las Palmas renovation remains out to bid

The group discussed graffiti removal and mural work; staff and members praised the city's graffiti crew. Juanita Castaneda said the painting team currently has a vacancy and the department is recruiting. "If anyone knows anyone that's looking for a job, help us beautify our city," she said.
Board members also reviewed how to report maintenance issues. Members said the city's app and a phone number are available for service requests, and several members said they use the app to report issues when they see them.
No formal decision or budget action was recorded on maintenance or renovation timing; staff said they will continue to coordinate with facilities and procurement and will share updates when bids are awarded or contracts are scheduled.
