Council approves consent agenda, excuses absences and OKs parade security amendment

The Enumclaw City Council voted on several routine items during its June 22 meeting, approving motions by voice vote and adopting a parade-security resolution.
The council voted to excuse Councilmembers Salmons, Waterhouse, Smith and Stanley (the latter noted as recently having had a baby). The consent agenda was approved by voice vote. The council also adopted Resolution 1881, an amendment to the Chamber of Commerce provision of services agreement that details how the previously authorized $15,000 will be spent: $8,500 for barriers along the parade route, $2,500 for overtime to cover six additional city staff, and $4,000 allocated to the Chamber to hire security and event staff. Parks Director Lina Hicks explained the allocation and recommended approval; the resolution was moved, seconded and passed.
