The Indian Springs Village Town Council agreed June 17 to proceed with new bleachers for Oak Mountain Intermediate School after Mayor Brenda Bell-Guercio reported that Principal Junkin had requested $42,113.26 for seating for two ball fields. Mayor Bell-Guercio told the council the expense was already included in the town budget, and the council agreed to move forward with the purchase.
Councilmember Richard Harley moved to approve the minutes of the council’s June 3 meeting; Councilmember Dale Elliott seconded the motion, and the motion carried with all in favor. Councilmember Ed Whatley reported that a new scoreboard for Heardmont Park is on order, noting the scoreboard had been approved by council resolution on May 20, 2025.
No PAZ/ZBA or Sheriff/Fire reports were presented. The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Brenda Bell-Guercio presiding and was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. by the mayor. The minutes record Herb Robins as the council member submitting the minutes for the meeting.
