Trustees planned outreach at the Party in the Park on June 13: they will display building plans, distribute bookmarks directing residents to the Ramsdell Renovation Project page and staff a table (Shaloo 10 a.m.–1 p.m.; Jacobs 1 p.m.–3 p.m.; Mars 10 a.m.–breakdown). The Friends of the Library will distribute books and the library will emphasize youth programming at the booth.
Trustees discussed a potential donation campaign to fund replacement plantings at Mason Library but agreed to consult the DPW first to confirm approved plantings and installation. Expressions of interest for the vacant trustee seat are due by June 25, 2026, trustees were reminded.
Trustee Patrick Hollenbeck urged the board to expand summer outreach — citing the Farmers Market and July Fourth weekend — and suggested a special meeting before July to plan outreach and coordinate with the Friends and the Community Preservation Committee (CPC). The Co‑Chairs asked Hollenbeck to provide links to construction‑grant examples and said they would consider his suggestions for the July meeting agenda.
Next steps: trustees will staff the Party in the Park table on June 13, follow up with DPW about plantings, and review outreach proposals at the July meeting as needed.
