Indian Hill board approves Online Continuity Plan, handbooks and multiple contracts; treasurer reports insurance renewals

Dr. Stewart presented the superintendent's report, noting that the Online Continuity Plan must be passed annually by July 1 under Ohio Department of Education requirements. The superintendent also presented approvals for student, athletic and staff handbooks; substitute rates; renewal of limited contracts and certified staff contracts; and a long list of supplemental and personnel-service contracts. "This is required by the Ohio Department of Education every year to be passed by July 1st," Dr. Stewart said of the continuity plan.
A motion to approve superintendent items 7A through 10D was made and seconded; the board recorded the motion as approved by roll call with members responding 'Yes' as recorded in the meeting transcript.
Ms. Davis, the treasurer, reviewed the district's financial items and recommended several actions. She presented approval of minutes for May 19, 2026, and financial reports for the month ending May 31, 2026, then reviewed insurance renewals: the district selected the Ohio School Plan for commercial property/pollution insurance at $224,653 and cyber protection at $16,105. She also presented contracts for the 2026-27 school year, including ViewSonic interactive displays ($45,481.39), Hamilton-Clermont Cooperative fiscal and student services ($111,537.43), Cincinnati Center for Autism school-year services ($63,550), and Dayton Cincinnati Technology Services for IT professional services ($146,713.16), among others.
The board moved, seconded and approved the treasurer's items (agenda items eight a through i) by roll call. The treasurer was authorized to make necessary appropriation adjustments to close the 2026 fiscal year and to adopt FY27 temporary appropriations to enable payment of obligations beginning in July.
The meeting record shows the board accepted donations to the high school from the Indian Hill Foundation for the 2026 Big Pitch and approved a resolution declaring impracticability of transportation where payments to parents in lieu of transportation were required.
The board did not take up additional binding action on capital projects during this vote; it scheduled a July work session for a more detailed review of a potential primary-school expansion and related long-term planning.
