The Town of Sharon Historic District Commission unanimously approved an amended application for a kitchen renovation at 40 North Main Street during its June 22, 2026, meeting.
Owner Lilly Woodworth presented revised plans that call for removing an existing sloped structure along the roofline and reconstructing that portion to match the opposite side of the house. Woodworth provided photographs and renderings and stated that all replacement materials will match the existing exterior.
After commission members asked questions and received clarifications from the owner and Land Use Administrator Jamie Casey, Commissioner Steve Szalewicz moved to close the public hearing. Commissioner Lionel Goldfrank seconded the motion; the hearing was closed at 5:37 p.m. Szalewicz then moved to approve the amended application and Commissioner Betsy Hall seconded; the motion passed with all in favor.
The commission also recorded that the posted agenda was taken in order and that the April minutes stood approved. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
The approved application requires the applicant to carry out the work as presented; no additional conditions were recorded in the minutes.
