Williamsville Central School District board swears in officers, appoints parliamentary role

At its July 1 organizational meeting the Williamsville Central School District Board of Education elected Maureen Pullen president and Michael Biscalia vice president, administered oaths of office, and appointed a parliamentarian; motions to adopt grouped agenda items and several routine actions carried unanimously.
The Williamsville Central School District Board of Education on July 1 elected Maureen Pullen as board president and Michael Biscalia as vice president and administered oaths of office for both officers.
The board took the votes by roll call after nominations from board members. Board member Christina Blackinger nominated Maureen Pullen for president; Pullen accepted and the board recorded unanimous support. Mr. Mana nominated Michael Biscalia for vice president; Biscalia accepted and the board recorded a unanimous roll‑call vote. Both terms were stated to run through June 30, 2027.
The election followed routine organizational business, including the adoption of the election process. After the officer votes the board administered the oaths of office. Superintendent Darren Brown‑Hall also took the oath for his role earlier in the meeting.
The president appointed Christina Blekencher to serve as parliamentarian and timekeeper for the 2026–2027 fiscal year. The board moved and carried motions to approve grouped agenda items (8B–14A and 15A–15E) and approved personnel, business and finance, and exceptional education items later in the meeting.
The board noted that its next regular meeting will be August 11, 2026. The organizational meeting adjourned following the routine business and two public expression opportunities during which no community members spoke.
