Planning commission affirms multiple site plans, resubdivisions and plats

The Wilson County Planning Commission reviewed and approved a series of site plans, preliminary plats and resubdivisions during its February 20 meeting.
A site plan for Assurant tenant improvements at 255 Aldi Blvd (parcel 138/37.05) was presented and staff recommendations were read; on motion of Planning Commission member Weathers, seconded by Planning Commission member Nokes, the plan was approved subject to staff recommendations with Planning Commission member Renfro recorded as voting no. The transcripts list the site plan items that followed and the motions that carried: Starstruck Farm sign at 10471 Hwy 109 N was approved on a motion by Planning Commission member Renfro, Kings Ole Kountry Store at 4581 Coles Ferry Pike was approved on a motion by Planning Commission member Turner, a six‑lot preliminary plat for Patrick Place Subdivision on Patrick Street was approved after discussion of addressing and homeowners association matters, a four‑lot resubdivision for Spenlake Sections was approved, and a three‑lot resubdivision for Hays Hill 2 Property (1337 Vanderbilt Rd) was approved.
The Commission then affirmed several plats — Rsb Henry Davis Subdivision, Rsb Robert B. Halbert Property, a consolidation plat for Barret & McCrary East Ventures (Couchville Industrial) and an Eastland Hills lot amendment — subject to staff recommendations and compliance with Stormwater, Engineering, County Fire Marshall and Utility District comments. Those affirmations were made on a motion of Planning Commission member Weathers, seconded by Planning Commission member Turner and recorded as approved with all voting aye.
The minutes do not provide detailed conditions beyond references to staff and agency comments; the Commission directed that staff recommendations be included in the minute attachment file.
Also noted in the minutes: Ken Young provided a public comment update on county step systems and Planning Director Christopher Lawless reviewed continuing education options for board members. The meeting then adjourned.
