County Manager Kevin Howard described amendments that included recognizing an NCAS (NC Amateur Sports) Earnhardt grant of $20,000 for Recreation; a Change Order #11 for the J.A. Holmes High School replacement project totaling $1,103,139.45 for the technology package, funded in part by a $103,139.45 draw from contingency; and ARPA carry-forwards and transfers totaling $356,102.30. Howard noted detailed account and justification entries are included in the meeting file.
Commissioner Ron Cummings moved to approve the amendments; the motion passed unanimously (6-0). The board also approved a $48,510 transfer from Capital Reserve to cover an HVAC change order for courthouse renovations. Financial reports for December and an update on JAHHS project expenses and change orders were included in the meeting file but no further board action was taken at the meeting.
