The City of Scott council approved routine items early in the Jan. 9 meeting: Councilman Bergeron moved to accept the Dec. 5, 2019 minutes (seconded by Councilman Suire) and Councilman Suire moved to accept the Dec. 16, 2019 special-meeting minutes (seconded by Councilman Bergeron). Councilman Bergeron moved to accept the November 2019 financial statement; the motion was seconded by Councilman Montoucet and carried.
The council adopted Resolution 2019-47, a resolution authorizing the mayor to execute an act of correction and consolidation related to the Destination Pointe detention pond; the motion carried by majority. Later in the meeting the council suspended the agenda to add a variance request and then, following a request from attorney Michael Babineaux on behalf of property owners, tabled the variance request for 2717 W. Willow Street until a subsequent meeting when all councilmembers would be present and after additional document review.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:28 p.m.
