Council hears drainage improvement plan, project updates; adoption set for Feb. 6

Jeanne Hornsby and Ana Doucet of Fenstermaker & Associates presented a newly drafted Drainage Improvement Plan to the City of Scott council and said the plan will be up for adoption at the Feb. 6, 2020 meeting at 6 p.m. Mark Savoy of Groom's Engineering reported construction updates and near-term procurement dates.
Savoy reported that Bihm Construction has started work on the Highway 93 force main and that work was expected to be completed by February 2020. Contractors had also started the West Willow sewer extension project; Savoy said that work should be completed by April 2020, weather permitting. Bids for the Intergovernmental Agreement Lateral 8C Drainage Project were scheduled to open at the Lafayette Consolidated Government offices on Jan. 16, 2020 at 2 p.m.
The council did not adopt the plan at the Jan. 9 meeting; consultants were scheduled to return for adoption consideration on Feb. 6.
