Oregon School District board approves consent calendar, records $1.7 million in payments and several donations

The board approved payments totaling $1,704,573.71 and accepted multiple donations: $490 from Oregon Cares, LLC to cover transportation and tickets for a community education movie; $215 and additional school supplies from Thysse Printing; $1,250 from the Oregon Rotary Foundation for a Rotary Scholarship; and special education equipment (a Stander and a Hoyer lift) donated by Nicole Beckes. Board President Troy Pankratz thanked donors for their contributions.
The consent calendar also included approval of the Aug. 25, 2025 board meeting minutes and other routine items (treasurer’s report none; staff resignations/retirements none; staffing assignments none; field trip requests none; new scholarships none; safety drill reports none). The motion to approve the consent calendar passed in a roll call vote (5-0) at the time of the vote prior to the late arrival of Ms. Ahna Bizjak.
