Oregon School District board approves consent calendar, $1.64 million in payments and donations

At its Aug. 11 meeting, the School Board of the Oregon School District approved the consent calendar, which included approval of minutes from June and July meetings, payments of $1,637,517.18 and several staffing changes and donations.
The consent calendar recorded staff resignations effective in July and early August, including a social worker, a math teacher and a Spanish teacher. Staffing assignments approved included new instructional coaches, band and language teachers, district social worker and program support coordinator and several contract changes between positions.
Donations accepted on the consent calendar included $20,000 from One Community Bank for the district splashpad, $13,000 from Oregon Athletic Boosters for a HUDL camera system, $500 from Thomas Miller for the Oregon Community Pool and smaller food-service balance donations. Board President Troy Pankratz thanked donors in the meeting minutes.
The motion to approve the consent calendar was moved by Mr. Nathan Hensal, seconded by Dr. Caleb Bush and passed by roll call vote 5-0.
