Board President Troy Pankratz opened the Aug. 11 meeting of the School Board of the Oregon School District and the board voted unanimously to approve the district's 2025–26 transportation contracts and 3% pay increases for two employee groups.
The board approved the transportation contracts as presented by administrator Andy Weiland by a 5-0 roll call vote. The minutes say Mr. Weiland presented the contracts to the board; no contract dollar amount or vendor details were included in the minutes.
The board also approved a 3% wage increase for administrative assistants, custodians and food service employees for the 2025–26 school year. Ms. Ahna Bizjak moved the support-staff wage motion; Mr. Nathan Hensal seconded it and the vote was recorded 5-0.
Separately, the board approved a 3% salary increase for licensed non‑represented staff, district support and administrators for 2025–26, with an additional market adjustment for certain positions “warranted based on comparable data,” according to the minutes. Ms. Bizjak moved that motion and Ms. Leslie Wright seconded; the vote was 5-0 by roll call.
The approvals were recorded as effective for the 2025–26 school year. The minutes do not list individual employee names affected or create a line-item dollar total for the enacted increases.
