Town board approves vehicle-auction update, NYSDOT project authorization and referrals; several administrative motions carried

At its Sept. 3 meeting, the Town of Union Board approved a package of public-works and administrative motions that included authorization for Sewer Department staff to attend a pump-selection seminar, an update to the list of vehicles to be sent to auction, and delegation to the Supervisor to execute NYSDOT-related project documents for planned traffic-signal work.
Councilman Frank J. Bertoni moved and Councilman Thomas R. Augostini seconded authorization to send Kyle Kent, Paul Spisak and Fred Tracey to the Pump Seminar 2025 in Syracuse on Oct. 28 with registration fees of $185 per attendee and use of a town vehicle; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved a resolution changing a vehicle previously scheduled for auction (authorizing D53 — 2018 Mack GU 813 Packer, VIN 1M2AX13COJM041262 — to be sent in place of D52, VIN 1M2AX13C9JM041261). Separately, the board adopted a resolution to authorize the Supervisor to execute project-related documents subject to Town Attorney review for a NYSDOT project (PIN 9FAS22) to construct, reconstruct or improve traffic signals in the town; the resolution references relocation and adjustment of street lighting pursuant to Section 10, Subdivision 24 of the State Highway Law.
Councilman Thomas R. Augostini moved and Councilman Frank J. Bertoni seconded referring a Notice of Foreclosure for 2107 Jenkins Street, Endicott (13760) to the Town Attorney, Town Comptroller and Planning Director; that motion also carried.
The minutes show the board received and filed routine communications and department reports (three Planning Board decisions, Local Development Corporation minutes, and the August 2025 permits report). The meeting adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
