The Orleans Select Board unanimously approved four FY26 year‑end transfers at its July 1 meeting to cover potential deficits before the master general law deadline.
Finance staff presented memos explaining each transfer and noted that the adjustments were intended to avoid appropriation deficits that would affect the town's free cash calculation. One member said a line item initially read as $6.4 million but confirmed it was $6,400, and members thanked staff for clear packet materials.
A motion to approve the transfers was made, seconded and carried with a recorded unanimous voice vote. Town staff will finalize the transfers and submit required paperwork as required by municipal finance rules.
The board then moved on to the consent agenda and other town updates.
