Town of Union raises Summer Fun program fees effective May 5

The Town of Union Board on April 16 adopted a resolution to raise fees for the town’s Summer Fun program, increasing the resident weekly rate from $125 to $150 per child and the nonresident rate from $150 to $175 per child. Early drop-off and late pick-up fees were raised from $15 per child per week (or $30 for both) to $20 per child per week (or $40 for both), the board said.
The fee increase was proposed by the Parks & Recreation Committee and approved by the full board; the resolution was recorded as adopted with all members voting yes. Town officials said the new rates take effect May 5, 2025, when registration opens for the summer season.
Officials said the change is intended to align program pricing with operating costs; the prepared resolution and vote record were filed as part of the meeting minutes. Families planning to enroll when registration opens should note the higher per-week charges and increased early/late care fees.
