The River Ridge Community Development District on Nov. 19 approved a $105,000 traffic-calming package to add three permanent and one mobile 15" solar-powered speed radar signs with cameras and cloud messaging.
Operations Manager Shane Willis presented AV-Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151 describing installation and annual cloud-device subscription costs of $1,500 per device. PSGRC General Manager Eric Long suggested relocating an existing unit 20–30 yards to reduce speeding incidents; Mr. Willis said poles will be purchased from Paramount Asphalt for about $1,200 each.
On a motion by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, the board approved the AV-Tech estimates—wiring and installing three permanent and one mobile unit with the cameras and messaging, and the cloud-device plan—for a combined total of $105,000. The board discussed PSGRC criteria for issuing warnings and fines and discussed whether the homeowners association would assume ongoing cloud-device costs.
The district will proceed with procurement and installation coordination through Operations staff; annual cloud subscription costs were discussed as a recurring expense.
