River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2024/2025 budget and special-assessments resolution

At its Aug. 27 meeting the River Ridge Community Development District adopted Resolution 2024-07 to approve the FY 2024/2025 budget (as amended) and Resolution 2024-08 imposing special assessments; both measures passed unanimously after minor scrivener corrections and no public comment.
Cleo Adams, District Manager, opened a public hearing on the River Ridge Community Development District’s proposed fiscal year 2024/2025 budget on Aug. 27, 2024 and noted staff had corrected several errors in the packet.
"Mr. Adams stated that the Fiscal Year 2025 budget in the agenda is not correct," staff told the board, and a scrivener change to the "Street sweeping" description was made before the hearing closed. No affected property owners or members of the public spoke during the hearing.
On a motion by Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Robert Twombly, the board adopted Resolution 2024-07, "Relating to the Annual Appropriations and Adopting the Budget(s) for the Fiscal Year Beginning October 1, 2024, and Ending September 30, 2025," as amended. The vote was unanimous.
The board also opened a public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, "Making a Determination of Benefit and Imposing Special Assessments for Fiscal Year 2024/2025." Counsel recommended removing references to "Exhibit B" from the resolution; the board approved that amendment and adopted Resolution 2024-08 on the same unanimous vote.
Both resolutions were adopted following staff clarifications and are effective as stated in the documents on file with the district. The board did not receive public objections during either hearing.
The actions taken set the district’s appropriations and the assessment roll for the coming fiscal year and provide staff and counsel direction for implementing the assessment-collection process.
