Town Manager: tax bills mailed; Winter Harbor won’t receive a new election tabulator for November

Town Manager Sara J. Liscomb provided several administrative updates at the Sept. 8, 2025 selectmen meeting.
Liscomb reported that tax bills have been mailed to residents and said she will attend an upcoming Networking Day. She noted that while updating the town’s personnel policy the staff skipped a section; that section will be placed on a future agenda for review.
On elections, Liscomb said the Secretary of State has for the third consecutive year not put the new tabulator machines out to bid. As a result, Winter Harbor will not receive a new tabulator machine for the November election, the minutes state.
The selectmen were also informed that a public meeting has been scheduled regarding the marina; the minutes do not record the date, time or agenda for that meeting.
During public comment, P. Barto said Acadia National Park provided data showing a 16.6% increase in visitors to Schoodic Point this year. S. Fortin requested a copy of the documents provided by the bank during the investment presentation earlier in the meeting.
