Mendon Township board approves early voting site agreement, reimburses $300 for two graves and approves bills

The Mendon Township Board on Feb. 10 approved several routine items. Clerk Donna Cupp presented an early voting site agreement from the County Clerk’s office; Trustee Leasa G. Mathews moved to approve the agreement, Trustee Jim Hart supported the motion, and the board approved it (motion carried; roll call not recorded).
The board also considered a request submitted by Eickhoff’s Funeral Services on behalf of Brent Alldaffer to return two graves purchased from the township. Treasurer Jan Griffith moved to reimburse Alldaffer $300 for the two graves, Trustee Jim Hart supported the motion, and the board approved the reimbursement (motion carried).
Treasurer Jan Griffith’s report was approved on a motion by Clerk Donna Cupp, supported by Trustee Leasa G. Mathews. The January bills were approved on a motion by Trustee Jim Hart, supported by Trustee Leasa G. Mathews. Clerk Donna Cupp moved to adjourn the meeting and Treasurer Jan Griffith supported the motion; the board adjourned at 7:29 p.m. Trustee Jim Hart commented, “I love what we’ve done with this place.” The minutes do not record vote tallies or a roll-call; each approval is recorded as “motion carried.”
