The commission approved the zoning change subject to five conditions: the applicant must submit a site plan showing the minimum parking requirements can be accommodated on site and have the final site plan reviewed and approved by the Planning Director; the existing building must comply with ADA accessibility requirements for public-use buildings; the applicant must provide a traffic layout plan and narratives describing how pick-up and drop-off traffic will be handled to avoid impacts to adjacent commercial and residential properties; no business-related parking may be located on any public street; and any proposed site improvements must comply with the city's stormwater management regulations.
James Hall was present for the hearing and no members of the public spoke against the request. The motion to approve was made by Mr. Burge and seconded by Mr. Weeks.
