Chelsea authorizes $252,589.42 payment for Hayes Street water main; project under budget

The first invoice, $36,833.60, has been paid; staff requested council authorization of the remaining $252,589.42.
City staff noted the original project budget was $500,000 and that the project will finish $123,568 under budget. Councilmember Peter Feeney moved to authorize payment to HardRock HDD, Inc. for pipe-bursting services in the amount of $252,589.42; Councilmember Eric Keaton seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The authorization completes the contractor payment recorded in the minutes; staff did not report outstanding change-orders in the recorded discussion.
