City Clerk Lyn Sebestyen told the Chelsea City Council on March 20 that the Farmer's Market requested establishment of a Wednesday market at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot, 1010 S. Main Street (M-52), to run each Wednesday from May 3 through Oct. 25, 2023.
Councilmember Eric Keaton moved to adopt a resolution establishing the Wednesday Chelsea Farmer's Market; Councilmember Peter Feeney seconded. The council voted unanimously (All Ayes), and the resolution was adopted. Sebestyen said the market has operated previously at that site without incident.
The farmers market item was listed under consent business after a Palmer Commons request; no objections or contingencies were recorded in the minutes. The council did not attach special conditions in the recorded motion.
