The chair outlined projects that include updating zoning regulations, revising floodplain regulations, advancing work on the Master Plan, correcting typos and inconsistencies in the zoning bylaw, and reviewing multifamily housing regulations.
The board discussed the importance of maintaining zoning that supports affordable housing. The chair asked board members to review the current multifamily housing regulations and come prepared for a focused discussion at the next meeting. Town resident David Schecker was present during the explanation of the board’s role and priorities.
Procedural items at the meeting included approval of the Jan. 20 minutes (motion by Andrew Fudge, second Jared Gelormino; motion passed 4-0 with one abstention) and adjournment at 7:35 p.m. (motion passed 5-0). The board confirmed upcoming meeting dates for Feb. 17, March 3 and March 24.
