The Board of Directors of the Iowa City Comm School District unanimously approved a communications-services contract with Wickstead & Company at its June 25, 2026, special meeting.
Board members voted to approve the proposal after a brief discussion about funding. A director asked whether the contract could be charged to the district's management fund; staff member Matt replied, “Right, that's correct. Yeah, it wouldn't be a qualifying management fund expense.” Rufina confirmed the contract would be paid from general funds.
The motion to approve the contract was moved and seconded, and Secretary Colvin called the roll. All recorded directors voted in favor and the motion carried. The board did not record amendments to the contract during the meeting.
The board took the action as part of a short consent-style agenda of two items; no further public presentations or extended negotiations were recorded at the meeting.
