New Bremen council adopts Auglaize County solid waste plan update and Drug Law Enforcement Fund policy

The Council of the Village of New Bremen voted Oct. 27 to adopt an update to the Auglaize County Solid Waste Management District plan and to approve a formal policy governing the village’s Drug Law Enforcement Fund.
Councilmember Bertke moved to adopt Resolution 2025-09-15, the county solid waste plan update; the motion was seconded by Larger and recorded as approved with six ayes. Later in the meeting, the council completed third reading and passed Ordinance 2025-009-19, which sets out how the Drug Law Enforcement Fund will be receipted and expended in accordance with Ohio Revised Code requirements. That motion was made by Hurley, seconded by Pulskamp and recorded with six ayes.
Council also recorded a second reading of Resolution 2025-10-16 to designate the Auglaize County Engineer’s Office as the centralized Addressing Authority for the county effective Jan. 1, 2026, to comply with state enhanced 911 rules; the minutes do not show a final vote on that resolution at the Oct. 27 meeting.
No dissenting votes were recorded on the adopted measures. The minutes show routine approval votes and do not include detailed debate on either the solid waste plan update or the drug fund policy. The council adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
