Residents raise Real ID and flooding concerns as council approves Assumption Church mural

Residents Elsie Arceneaux and Eva Bernard reported heavy-rain flooding into a living room at 107 Michaud Road, attributing the problem to a large pipe across the street. Mayor Clavier asked CH Fenstermaker engineer Andy Sellers to assess the drainage problem.
Separately, Councilmember Alfred Sinegal reported that Assumption Church will place a mural on the west side of the Keep Carencro Beautiful site under the I-49 underpass at no cost to the city; the council approved the mural.
Next steps: city clerks and utility staff will explore options to assist residents with name discrepancies for Real ID purposes; engineering staff will inspect the reported flooding location and report back to the council.
