Claiborne Parish School Board keeps officers, approves minutes and sets monthly meeting schedule

David Nokes moved to keep the board’s current officers — Perry Anderson as president and Yolanda Coleman as vice-president — a motion seconded by Tommy Davidson and approved by acclamation. The board then approved the minutes of the Dec. 9, 2025 Executive Committee meeting and Regular Called Meeting on a 10-0 vote after a motion by David Nokes and a second from Linda Knox.
Following procedural business, the board voted 10-0 on a motion by Linda Knox, seconded by Tommy Davidson, to set regular board meetings for the first Thursday after the first Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. The schedule change was presented as a procedural adoption recorded in the minutes.
The actions were recorded in the minutes with no further debate. The meeting record identifies the board members present and notes the Secretary, Chris Brooks, in attendance. The board adjourned at the close of the agenda.
