The Abbot Public Library Board of Trustees voted unanimously on Feb. 3 to approve the Jan. 6, 2025 meeting minutes, to adopt amendments to the library’s Meeting Room Policy and to authorize payment of an $1,816 invoice for Aunt Flow period-product dispensers from the LMEG state aid fund.
During a Zoom meeting called to order at 6:03 p.m., trustees Gary Amberik, John Williams, Jennifer (Jen) Jewell, Kathy Barker, Deb Payson and David Ross recorded Yes votes on the procedural motions. The minutes for the Jan. 6 meeting were approved by roll call.
The board discussed revisions to the Meeting Room Policy that would explicitly classify the Driftwood Garden Club as a library group and grant the director discretion to permit earlier bookings for library business when needed. After discussion, trustees approved the policy amendments by roll-call vote.
Trustees also approved an invoice of $1,816 for installation of Aunt Flow period-product machines in public restrooms; the payment will come from the LMEG state aid fund, as recorded in the votes. The meeting minutes record all six trustees voting in favor of the purchase.
No motions identifying the individual mover or seconder were recorded in the minutes. The board set its next meeting for March 3, 2025. The session adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
