Ava Wilson, a member of the Spring City Tourism and Events Commission, proposed creating a Medieval Faire to take place at the Fall Festival in 2026 at Veterans Park and suggested partnering with the Spring City Chamber of Commerce. Wilson volunteered to lead the event, and Robbie Harvey agreed to join her in presenting the concept to the Chamber at its meeting on Aug. 4, 2025, at 6 p.m.
During new business, Commissioner Jody Bauer moved that the commission present the Medieval Faire idea to the Chamber; Commissioner Ricki Dash seconded the motion. The minutes record the motion as approved ("all were in favor"). No formal amendments or conditions were recorded in the minutes.
If the Chamber approves the concept on Aug. 4, Wilson will serve as the commission's point person for planning and coordination. The commission noted Veterans Park as the intended venue and did not record specific budgetary commitments at this meeting. The commission's next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., when members said they would report back on the Chamber discussion.
