Hallock council authorizes $908,564 in city payments, schedules pool to close Aug. 30

The Hallock City Council on Aug. 4 approved payment of city invoices totaling $908,564.66 and a payroll transfer of $55,008.91, and reviewed the city's Budget-to-Actual report for July.
Administrator Kendra Kroening told the council payroll was higher in July because of an extra payroll run. "The pool will close August 30, 2025," Kroening said, adding that planned spending and an extra payroll explain the higher month-to-month payroll figures.
Councilor Jen Peterson moved to authorize payment of the checks and transfers as listed; Councilor Mike Totleben seconded the motion and it carried. Mayor David Treumer and Councilor Totleben will review bills for the September meeting.
The vote was carried unanimously by council members present. The council also appointed Jen Peterson and Kevin Waller to the Budget Committee and directed staff to continue budget monitoring ahead of the next regular meeting on Sept. 8.
