Lancaster County authorizes engineering supplements and agreements to advance 68th Street improvements

Lancaster County commissioners on Jan. 6 approved several agreements to advance the 68th Street federal-aid project (Firth Road to Stagecoach Road), including engineering supplements and a responsible charge services agreement.
The board authorized a Professional Services Agreement Supplement 3 with the Nebraska Department of Transportation (C-26-0016) for additional preliminary engineering services not to exceed $15,717.68, and a Responsible Charge Services Agreement amending County Contract C-22-0509 (C-26-0017/R-26-0004) in an amount not to exceed $69,346.75. Pam Dingman, the county engineer, said items 4G and 4H are related to the South 68th Street project and are necessary to continue moving the project forward; she noted the current work includes planning for a roundabout at Princeton Avenue and South 68th Street.
Both motions passed on recorded 4-0 votes with Commissioner Christa Yoakum absent. The approvals authorize the county to proceed with the next phases of design and coordination required for the federal-aid project.
