Under the consent agenda the board approved a set of contract amendments and grant agreements, including: a system furniture installation contract (Worldclass Office Installers), a contract for the Youth Mental Health Diversion Program with Pine Lake Behavioral Health, a corrections uniform contract (Gauls LLC), and grant contracts including Voices of Hope ($36,041), Food Bank of Lincoln ($250,000), Lincoln International FC ($15,000), and a second amendment with St. Marks Preschool for childcare assistance. The board also approved reapplying unused Community Development Block Grant owner‑occupied rehabilitation funds (about $42,665.63) to the Southeast Nebraska Housing Bridge Fund to continue local housing work. Separately, the board approved an agreement to subordinate the county’s deed of trust at 14441 Ivanho Street (Waverly) at the request of a property owner seeking additional financing; and it approved a road maintenance agreement with Brandt Trucking related to hauling clay for Yankee Hill Brick.
Commissioners approved recommendations from the Kino Human Services Prevention Fund advisory committee, directing $250,000 in Kino funding distributed across multiple nonprofit providers to serve vulnerable populations. No public comment was recorded during the meeting.
