The Village of Rothschild Board approved a lease with Vertical Bridge on Jan. 27, 2025, agreeing to monthly rent of $1,400 with a 2% yearly escalator and a one-time $10,000 donation to the village. Administrator Ryan VanDeWalle told trustees the negotiated terms increased the monthly rent from earlier offers and matched recently signed contracts in neighboring municipalities.
VanDeWalle said Vertical Bridge signed a contract for a tower at the Mosinee Fire Department at $1,150 per month with a 2% escalator and that the Village of Rib Mountain recently agreed to $1,400 per month with a 2% escalator and a $1,250 one-time donation. VanDeWalle reported that details about generator decibel levels and the number of tower lights were not available from those neighboring contracts and asked staff to obtain that technical information for Rothschild.
After discussion, trustees approved the motion to accept the Vertical Bridge contract at the $1,400 monthly rate with a 2% escalator and a $10,000 upfront donation, and directed the administrator to obtain lighting and sound information before proceeding. The motion carried 6-0.
The approval authorizes the administrator to finalize terms consistent with the board motion; the board did not record additional conditions or a final installation schedule at the meeting.
