The Tecumseh Local Board of Education adopted the personnel consent calendar at its June 17 meeting, approving certified and classified resignations and a slate of 2026–27 employment assignments across district schools.
Resignations accepted included Sarah Mowry (Kindergarten teacher at Park Layne Elementary School, effective June 5, 2025), classified paraprofessional Crystal Bell (effective May 28, 2026), Jessica Berry (ELL aide, effective May 28, 2026) and Mindy Lane (van driver, effective August 3, 2026). The board approved multiple certified hires effective August 13, 2026, including Melinda Hixon (Intervention Specialist, Tecumseh Middle School), William Baker (STEM and Engineering, Tecumseh Middle School), Matt Cogan (School Counselor, Tecumseh High School) and others listed in the personnel docket. Several classified hires and returns from leave were also approved.
The board approved a list of staff to provide extended school year services and home instruction for summer 2026, to be paid from the general fund, and authorized one seasonal hire (Tate Ehlinger) and up to ten additional days for Kristie Talley at per diem pay. A subsequent motion by Mrs. Clark added one further extended-services assignment (Liv Crew), also adopted 5–0.
All personnel actions were contained in the consent calendar and approved by roll-call vote without recorded opposition. The hires list includes salary steps and effective dates as presented in the personnel documents; aggregate cost or impact on the district payroll was not specified in the minutes.
