Tecumseh Local board approves new labor contracts and district pay increases

The Tecumseh Local Board of Education on June 17 approved a new collective bargaining agreement with the Tecumseh Education Association covering July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028, and an updated agreement with the Tecumseh Association of School Employees for July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
The board also approved salary increases for administrators, exempt staff and bus aides, stating the increases will match those negotiated for certified staff for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2028 period. Board members also approved related administrative changes: adjustments to the salary schedules for the Transportation Secretary, Administrative Assistant and Payroll Clerk/Accounts Payable, and an increase in the administrative stipend from 2% to 3% for any elementary school without an assistant principal that enrolls more than 480 students; that stipend change was noted as retroactive to the 2025–26 school year. The board approved the 412 certificates associated with these measures.
The motions were presented as part of the administrative consent calendar and were moved by board members and adopted by unanimous roll-call votes (5–0). The board also approved an interagency contract with the Montgomery County Educational Service Center for Fiscal Year 2027.
The approvals will be implemented administratively; the board did not set further public hearings on these matters at the June 17 meeting.
