County staff report surge in Birth-to-Three referrals and discuss ADRC volumes, 85.21 grant planning

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Wis. — Jessie Cody of the Children and Family Services Unit told the board on Oct. 6 that the Birth-to-Three program experienced a sudden influx of referrals and subsequent enrollments, and provided an update on current out-of-home placements.
Jan Krueger of Aging and Disability Services reported higher numbers of referrals and website inquiries to the ADRC and said the Transportation Coordinating Committee’s Sept. 18 meeting focused largely on the 85.21 2026 grant application. The Transportation committee’s next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 4, 2025; the ADRC advisory committee will meet Nov. 6, 2025.
Board members noted the increased demand for early-intervention and aging services and asked for continued updates.
