Marquette County staff presented a preliminary strategic planning draft to the County Board on Oct. 21 and requested feedback from supervisors and the public through Nov. 12. Alysson Brunette provided a high-level overview of the draft, describing eight goals and several objectives under each goal. Brunette said the plan is open to changes and will return to the board for adoption at the December meeting.
Administrator Ron Barger encouraged board members to review the draft and consult with Administration or Finance on any budgetary implications before the Nov. 12 public hearing and budget meeting. The board did not take action on the draft at the Oct. 21 meeting; the timeline presented anticipates formal consideration and adoption in December.
The presentation was informational; board members and the public may submit comments to the County prior to the Nov. 12 deadline.
