The Marquette County Property Committee voted Nov. 4 to list the Endeavor Highway Shop on the Wisconsin Surplus auction site with a $50,000 reserve.
B&G Superintendent Paul Van Treeck told the committee the Highway Committee has approved offering the property for sale and reported an approximate appraised value of $70,000; Highway Commissioner Trebiatowski asked that it be listed at $50,000 on the WI Surplus auction site. Committee member Dave Benson moved and Abby Swan seconded the motion to place the property on the surplus site with a $50,000 reserve. The motion carried.
Van Treeck also provided broader facilities updates: the Clerk of Courts cabinets are being custom built and will be installed by the end of the year with no expected disruption to public service, the 911 Dispatch Center is under construction and expected to be done by the second week of December, sheriff workstations are scheduled for installation in the third week of January and Baycom will perform subsequent setup. Van Treeck suggested a February tour once workstations are complete.
No further actions regarding the sale price or listing conditions were recorded in the minutes.
